Firm and Flourish Lymphatic Therapies Is Coming to You

Starting this month, every session with Firm and Flourish Lymphatic Therapies happens in your home. I bring the table, the linens, the oils, and everything else, and I set up in whatever room you choose. The practice is still based in the woods of Kinnelon, and I now travel throughout Morris, Essex, Passaic and Bergen counties.

I want to tell you why, and what it means for you.

Why the change

For the past year and a half, I worked out of a treatment room in my home. It was quiet, private, and built around the idea that the environment is part of the treatment. I still believe that. What I've come to see is that the calmest room most of my clients know is one of their own, and that getting to me was often the hardest part of the appointment.

My postpartum clients were leaving a newborn with someone, or bringing the baby and hoping for a nap. My post-surgical clients were getting into a car days after a procedure, which is the one thing nobody wants to do when healing. My chronic illness clients were spending energy on the drive that I'd rather they spent on the table. My pregnant clients were doing all of this at 34 weeks.

So the practice is coming to you.

What stays the same

Everything that matters. Every session is still with me personally, start to finish. You still get a full 60, 90, or 120 minutes of hands-on work, with nothing subtracted for setup. I still see a limited number of clients a day. The clinical standard, the sanitation protocol, the fresh linens for every single client, the quiet: all of it travels.

What changes

You pick the room. A bedroom or living room with roughly seven by ten feet of clear floor and a door that closes is all I need. I arrive about ten minutes early to set up, and when we're done, you're already home. No drive back with a full bladder after lymphatic drainage. No getting dressed in a hurry. No parking.

Travel is included within a 15-minute drive of Kinnelon. From 15 to 30 minutes, a $25 travel fee is added. From 30 to 45 minutes, the fee is $50 and sessions are booked at 90 minutes or longer. Beyond 45 minutes, the fee is $75, also with a 90-minute minimum, and I confirm availability before you book.

Where I go

I'm based in Kinnelon, which puts me within an easy drive of most of northern New Jersey. In Morris County that means Butler, Riverdale, Pequannock, Lincoln Park, Montville, Mountain Lakes, Boonton, Denville, Rockaway, Parsippany, Morristown, Madison and Chatham. In Passaic County, Wayne, Little Falls, Totowa, Pompton Lakes, Ringwood and West Milford. In Essex County, Montclair, Verona, Caldwell, West Caldwell, Glen Ridge, Livingston and the Oranges. In Bergen County, Ridgewood, Franklin Lakes, Wyckoff, Oakland, Mahwah, Ramsey and Allendale. If your town isn't on that list and it's in one of those four counties, I almost certainly come there too; the list is a sample, not a boundary.
