Manual Lymphatic Drainage Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (CMLDT) through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS), trained in the Vodder method. The Vodder technique is the clinical gold standard for MLD, recognized worldwide for the treatment of lymphedema, post-surgical swelling, and immune support.

Buccal Massage Trained with Joanna Tringali, a New York City-based practitioner and educator with over 30 years of clinical experience. Joanna served as a Commissioner at COMTA (Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation) for a decade, developing curriculum and training standards for massage therapy nationally. Her approach emphasizes assessment, intention, and precision, and that's exactly how I practice.

Fertility Massage & Reflexology Certified in Claire Marie Miller's Integrative Reflexology and Nurturing the Mother Fertility Massage methods. Claire is a Massage Hall of Fame inductee who pioneered the connection between reflexology and reproductive health. Her fertility massage protocol has demonstrated a 60-80% success rate among certified practitioners. My fertility work integrates MLD, reflexology, essential oils, red light therapy, and castor oil packs based on each client's individual needs and cycle timing.

About Firm and Flourish
Firm and Flourish is a private massage therapy practice in Kinnelon, NJ, serving clients throughout Morris County and the surrounding North Jersey area. It is a low-volume, high-intentionality practice built around one idea: your body deserves skilled, unhurried, undivided attention.
The treatment room is in a cedar house on Round Hill Road, surrounded by old-growth forest in the NJ Highlands near the Pequannock Watershed. There is no spa lobby, no waiting room, no back-to-back scheduling. When you are here, you are the only client. The space is quiet, private, and designed to let your nervous system do the thing it needs to do most: stop guarding.
The work focuses on manual lymphatic drainage, buccal massage and TMJ therapy, lipedema and Dercum's disease care, post-surgical recovery, prenatal and postpartum massage, hormonal balance and fertility support, facial massage, and customized therapeutic bodywork. Most clients come in for a specific issue and stay for the reset.
About Morgan
Hi, I am Morgan Larson, LMT, CMLDT. I am the founder and sole practitioner at Firm and Flourish.
I have been a licensed massage therapist for over 12 years, with more than 1,100 hours of specialized training beyond my initial licensure. A large part of my career has been spent working with chronically ill and elderly clients, including medical, post-surgical, hospice, and oncology massage. That work is the reason my hands are gentle and my screening is careful. When you have spent years with bodies that cannot tolerate force, you learn that gentle, medically informed work is not the soft option, it is the only one that holds up.

My certifications include the Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (CMLDT) credential through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS), the clinical standard for MLD in the United States. My buccal massage training is with Joanna Tringali, a New York City-based educator and former Commissioner at COMTA (Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation), whose approach emphasizes assessment and precision over choreography. I have continuing training in lipedema and Dercum's care, post-surgical recovery, oncology massage, prenatal massage, and hormonal balance work.
I see a limited number of clients per day, typically no more than five. I build 30 to 35 minutes between every appointment. Every session is a full 60 (or 90, or 120) minutes of hands-on treatment, not a minute less. I do my own laundry. I control every detail of the experience, from what touches your skin to how the room feels when you walk in. All of that affects the work.

Why I Built This Practice
I spent years working in clinical settings where the schedule was packed, the sessions were rushed, and the work was good but never great because there was never enough time. I watched therapists burn out. I watched clients get adequate care instead of exceptional care. I watched the economics of volume override everything else.
Firm and Flourish is the opposite of that. I built this practice around the belief that fewer clients treated well produces better outcomes than more clients treated adequately. Every detail here, from the scheduling to the linens to the 35-minute buffer between appointments, exists to protect the quality of the work.
I wrote about what that philosophy looks like in practice: your massage therapist's room is a safe space, always.
Specializations and conditions I work with
Lipedema and Dercum's Disease. There is a real gap in clinical providers for these conditions in North Jersey, and many of my clients with lipedema have been dismissed by multiple medical professionals before finding me. I take both conditions seriously, treat them with appropriate technique, and never push past what the tissue is telling me.

Lymphedema. Primary, secondary, and post-surgical. I am a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (CMLDT) trained in the Vodder method through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, which is the clinical gold standard for MLD in the United States.

Post-surgical recovery. Cosmetic, orthopedic, abdominal, dental. I work with clients in the early healing window and through the long tail of fibrosis and residual swelling.

TMJ and chronic jaw tension. Buccal massage works the deep facial and intraoral muscles that standard massage cannot reach. Many of my TMJ clients arrive after trying night guards, dental work, and physical therapy without full relief.

Hormonal balance and fertility. The lymphatic system transports hormones, and when it is sluggish, everything connected to hormonal cycling is harder. I work with clients through menopause, perimenopause, IVF, PCOS, thyroid conditions, and fertility journeys.

Chronic illness and autoimmune conditions. Hashimoto's, lupus, Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis. Gentle, sustained lymphatic work can meaningfully reduce inflammatory load and help your nervous system come down from chronic activation.

Prenatal and postpartum care. Pregnancy massage tailored to each trimester, lymphatic drainage for swelling, and postpartum recovery work.

Why I Built This Practice

The Setting
Firm and Flourish is located at 27 Round Hill Road in Kinnelon, NJ. The treatment room is in a private home studio, a cedar house in the woods of the NJ Highlands. You pull into a quiet driveway and walk into a space surrounded by trees.

There's no traffic noise, no shared walls, no commercial lighting. The only sounds are the woods outside and, eventually, your own breathing slowing down. The environment isn't a luxury. It's part of the treatment. A nervous system that feels safe and unhurried responds differently to bodywork than one that's still processing the stress of getting there.

Serving Kinnelon, Morristown, Parsippany, Boonton, Butler, Pequannock, Wayne, Montville, Lincoln Park, Riverdale, and all of Morris County, NJ.
